Are you an unpublished author looking for some editorial help?
After years of writing, editing and commissioning, I know how to make writing sing. I’m also a professionally trained proofreader (Publishing Training Centre, London) and actually enjoy weeding out those tiny errors that are so easy to miss when reading your own work.
I offer several services:
- An analysis of your first three chapters (up to 10,000 words), with honest feedback of how you might improve it given in a written report.
- A professional proofread of your first three chapters, synopsis and cover letter – aimed at writers who are happy with their work but want to ensure it is as clean as it can be before sending it to agents.
- A professional proofread of your full manuscript – ideal for those who have completed a novel and are intending to self-publish.
- One-to-one sessions (in person if in Vaud/Geneva, or by Skype) to discuss your manuscript in progress and how it might be improved, focusing on plot, characterisation, writing style.
I love reading novels, but I know that taste in fiction is a very personal thing – for example, I’m not a fan of fantasy novels in general. There are lots of other editors out there and I feel it’s important for an author to work with the right one.
So if you are interested in using my services please email me the first three chapters of your novel (in Word format) for a free assessment. I will then decide if I think we can work together.
Rates on request.
